In my workshops each participant – whether an actor, designer, writer or managing director – becomes a performance storyteller, employing a visual language as a generator of individual expressions. The focus is on developing and deploying visual literacy, starting from an understanding of how every shape, color or texture can induce specific emotions, resulting in the ability to crystalize feelings, thoughts and ideas into a visual and spatial language. The goal of these workshops is to help rewire our creative impulses, redevelop our senses, and revitalize our creative process. The workshops serve as training playgrounds to explore new theatrical vocabularies and create holistic experiences where everyone contributes artistic input to foster creative storytelling. Catering to both theatre artists and the general public, the workshops encourages participants with a variety of interests, abilities and backgrounds to participate and bring their own perspective. The collaborative and playful environment of the workshop inspires all participants to harness their creative potential and reveal their inner visual dramaturg and visual playwright.
Visual Character Design
This workshop is dedicated to generating alternative starting points for the development of theatrical characters from a visual point of view. Through a series of highly imaginative and intuitive association prompts, object provocations, and multi-sensory experiences in which participants are invited to touch, hear, smell and even taste, participants express qualities, attributes, psychological and dramaturgical aspects of characters and their worlds through visual elements (lines, shapes, textures, p atterns and colors). I lead participants through the process of generating character expressions by superimposing individual visual elements, first in the form of 2D collages, and eventually translated into 3D assemblies of simple objects, props, and basic materials.

Space & Narrative
This workshop is designed to get theatre makers to think theatrically, think spatially, think three dimensionally. The workshop will introduce spatially-driven, holistic and collaborative approaches to storytelling (such as spatial and forensic analysis and world building) to discover fluid narratives that are embedded within and driven by intricate imaginative worlds. The workshop will serve as a training playground to explore creative ways of engaging with visual and spatial practices, providing participants with alternative starting points for development of new material, and allowing them to situate narratives within the total picture of the theatrical experience.

Visual Dramaturgy
This workshop is dedicated to Visual Dramaturgy, the transformation of drama into a system of visual signs that create meaning. Participants create visual structures of performances in the form of Visual Dramatic Action diagrams and Spatial maps, which capture the temporal and spatial aspects of the source material. The created visual diagrams will assist in understanding of how plays move in time and space, and provide visual, spatial and logical connections between dramatic building blocks. The workshop is particular helpful for the new play development as it helps playwrights to discover the visual potential of their novel works.
